We spent Friday stripping a new job, and the first thing we do is always strip a bulk section. If possible I like to re use the old spars in strengthening the base coat. In doing it this way you can get the base exactly how you want it, sorting features like windows before you start thatching up. Everyone knows how much preparation is key in thatching.
